Akutes Koronarsyndrom – Ticagrelor zeigt hohe Effektivität bei STEMI, NSTEMI und instabiler Angina pectoris

Unter dem Begriff akutes Koronarsyndrom (acute coronary syndrome, ACS) werden die Phasen der koronaren Herzerkrankung zusammengefasst, die unmittelbar lebensbedrohlich sind. In der klinischen Praxis sind dies die instabile Angina pectoris (IA), der Nicht-ST-Hebungsinfarkt (NSTEMI) und der ST-Hebungsinfarkt (STEMI). Diese Erkrankungen sind nicht selten – im Gegenteil: Laut Angaben der Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO sind koronare Herzkrankheiten weltweit nach wie vor die Todesursache Nummer 1 [ 1 ].
