ND-CKD und Nierentransplantation – Eisencarboxymaltose: Effektivität und Sicherheit

Die Anämie ist eine häufige Komplikation bei der chronischen Nierenerkrankung (CKD: Chronic Kidney Disease). Ursächlich findet sich neben einem relativen Erythropoetinmangel häufig auch ein Eisenmangel (Männer 58 % und Frauen 71 %). Auch Patienten nach erfolgreicher Nierentransplantation (NTx) können an einem Eisenmangel bzw. einer Eisenmangelanämie leiden. Die Therapie erfolgt heute bevorzugt durch die Verabreichung von intravenösem (i. v.) Eisen. ESA (Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents) sollen erst dann verabreicht werden, wenn es trotz adäquater Eisensubstitution (Ferritin 200–500 ng/ml und TSAT 20–30 %) nicht zu einem ausreichenden Hämoglobinanstieg kommt.
