In the face of increasing population levels and global climate change, the world faces many challenges with regards to food production. New crop protection solutions afforded by biotechnology as well as synthetic and natural product chemistry will be required to meet these needs. This presentation will describe some historical aspects of natural products in agriculture, some of the issues facing the discovery of new natural products for use in agriculture, and describe various facets of Dow AgroScience's natural products program covering lead discovery through product support
