Publication History

Publication Date:
13 December 2012 (online)

The European Journal of Pediatric Surgery is moving on by launching an entirely new journal devoted to pediatric surgical case reports entitled European Journal of Pediatric Surgery Reports. At the same time the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery will no longer publish case reports, allowing more room for original articles and reviews.

Case reports are extremely popular in the pediatric surgical society and an increasing number of submitted case reports are continuously received by the editorial office. The growing demand is met by offering a new specialized publication forum for case reports. The new journal will publish high-quality case reports from all fields of pediatric surgery. In addition to the paper version, free online access of the new journal will offer an easily accessible and well-targeted forum for these communications. European Journal of Pediatric Surgery Reports is planned to start with two yearly issues and the very first one is to come out in April 2013. Due to this transition, the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery will no longer accept any new case report submissions.

The international editorial board of the new journal will include several experienced pediatric surgeons with variety of special interest areas from different parts of Europe. The European Journal of Pediatric Surgery Reports is determined to enable swift editorial process and ensure ongoing development of the new journal aiming for high scientific quality of the upcoming case reports.

We cordially invite you to submit your case reports to the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery Reports (http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ejpsreports).
