Patienten mit überaktiver Blase werden häufig mit Antimuskarinika behandelt. Bei einigen Patienten bessern sich die Beschwerden darunter nicht oder es treten Nebenwirkungen auf. Christobal Marchal, Hospital Costa del Sol, Málaga/Spanien, et al. haben aktuell erfolgreich die perkutane tibiale Nervenstimulation als alternative Therapieoption eingesetzt.
