Zusammenfassung

Auch in der Onkologie kommt die Phytotherapie mehr und mehr zur Anwendung. Am Beispiel des Granatapfels ermutigen sowohl Anzahl als auch Ergebnisse der neueren Arbeiten. Nun liegt eine weitere klinische Studie zum Prostatakarzinom vor. Grund genug, diese alte Kulturpflanze mit einer Beschreibung und einem Review zu würdigen.

Summary

Punica granatum: A culture plant with antineoplastic potential. Plant description and systematic review The important role phytotherapy plays in oncology is widely recognized. The pomegranate (Punica granatum) for example, offers promising results based on recent studies. Currently, a new clinical study is available on the role pomegranate plays in prostate carcinoma. This is an important justification for carrying out a description of this plant that has been under cultivation since antiquity.
