Summary

Laser acupuncture is a combination of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and acupuncture. Even acupuncture points can be stimulated by laser irradiation. Laser acupuncture is introduced as an effective therapy in all kinds of wound healing. The use of special acupuncture lasers of sufficient power and special laser frequencies are of great importance. The treatment procedure and effectiveness of this therapy are demonstrated by several case reports in dogs and horses.
