Fazit

Trotz der erfreulichen Beobachtung, dass sich immer mehr Jugendliche gegen den Tabakkonsum entscheiden, ist ein Drittel der jungen Menschen im mittleren Jugendalter Raucher. Angesichts der langfristigen Folgen des Zigarettengebrauchs (Abhängigkeit, Morbidität, Mortalität) sind weiterhin Maßnahmen der Prävention und Frühintervention indiziert. Zielführende Konzepte auf verhältnis- und verhaltensbezogener Ebene sind beschrieben und verfügbar. Die pädiatrische Praxis kann und sollte ihren Beitrag zur gesamtgesellschaftlichen Aufgabe der Tabakprävention leisten.
