Ultraschall in der Endodontie

Ultraschallinstrumente finden einen weiten Einsatz in der heutigen Zahnmedizin. Im täglichen Gebrauch werden sie in der Parodontologie zur Reinigung der Wurzeloberfläche, in der Kariologie zur Kavitätenpräparation, in der Prothetik zum Finieren von Präparationsrändern und in der Chirurgie als Piezoinstrumente angewendet. Auch in der Endodontie haben sie ihre Anwendungsbereiche gefunden. Zusammen mit dem Dentalmikroskop und rotierenden oder alternierenden NiTi-Feilen sind Ultraschallinstrumente Teil einer modernen Wurzelkanalbehandlung.
