Two new monodesmosidic spirostane type steroid glycosides, 1-β-hydroxydeltonin (1) and 1-β-hydroxyprogenin III (2) together with known steroid glycosides were isolated from the tubers of Dioscorea caucasica (Dioscoreaceae). The structures of new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods.
