Zusammenfassung

Fragestellung:

Schlussfolgerung:

Sturzrisiko- und Lebensqualitätserfassung sind hilfreich für Verordnungsentscheidungen.

Abstract

Purpose:

Provision of and predictors for therapeutic measures for stroke patients after rehabilitation phases B and C during an aftercare period of 2.5 years.

Materials and Methods:

In addition to data collection at the beginning and the end of in-patient rehabilitation there were telephone interviews on health status and actual use of therapeutic measures after 1 and again after 2.5 years. Predictors result from binary logistic regression.

Results:

Only about half of the physicians’ recommendations at discharge were implemented. With statistical significance there were more women and patients with increased risk of falls and low quality of life receiving therapeutic measures during aftercare.

Discussion:

More frequent treatment of patients with high risk of falls and low quality of life indicates rational prescribing by doctors.

Conclusion:

Risk of falls and life quality assessment are helpful for decisions on therapeutic measures.
