Zusammenfassung
CranioSacrale Therapie ist eine von Dr. John E. Upledger auf der Grundlage der Osteopathie
entwickelte manuelle Methode zur Evaluierung und Behandlung des CranioSacralen Systems,
das das Zentralnervensystem umgibt und zu seiner Funktion beiträgt. Ursprünglich für
den Menschen entwickelt und von den Autoren auf das Pferd übertragen, hat die Methode
zum Ziel, spannungs- und fluiditätsregulierende Effekte im Bindegewebe zu bewirken.
Der Artikel beschreibt Entwicklung und Grundsätze der Methode, Aufbau und Funktion
des CranioSacralen Systems beim Pferd sowie die Bedeutung des sog. CranioSacralen
Rhythmus und des Bindegewebes. Außerdem wird ein Behandlungsprotokoll vorgestellt.
Summary
CranioSacral Therapy, developed by Dr. John E. Upledger and based on osteopathic knowledge,
is a manual treatment of the craniosacral system, which envelopes the central nervous
system and assists its function. Originally developed for humans, the authors transferred
the method in horse treatment. The goal of the method is to cause tension and fluid
regulatory effects in the connective tissues. This article describes the development
and principles of the treatment method; the structure and function of the horse's
craniosacral system as well as the relevance of the so-called craniosacral rhythm
and of the connective tissues during treatment. At the end a basic program with indications
and contraindications is presented.
