In der Zahnmedizin und Kieferorthopädie ist die Fragestellung der Effektivität von okklusalen (zentrischen) Aufbissschienen bei kraniomandibulären Dysfunktionen (CMD) umstritten. Dieser auf einer Literaturrecherche in PubMed basierende Artikel bietet eine Zusammenschau und Bewertung relevanter Studien, um eine Aussage zur Wirksamkeit der Schienentherapie ableiten zu können.
