Larry H. Hollier, Jr., M.D.

Larry H. Hollier, Jr., M.D., is a professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, as well as the residency program director in the Division of Plastic Surgery. He is director of the Hand Clinic at Texas Children's Hospital and co-director of the Craniofacial Clinic, Department of Plastic Surgery, Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Hollier's specialty is plastic and reconstructive surgery, including pediatric hand surgery, facial fractures, cranial vault remodeling, midfacial distraction, and mandibular distraction.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hollier has maintained his academic interests with his publications nearing the 200 mark in peer-reviewed journals, most of which deal with various aspects of craniofacial surgery, and 37 book chapters to his credit as well. He is editor-in-chief of Seminars in Plastic Surgery and is an editor or board member for several other journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Hollier is a national and international lecturer on the topics of craniomaxillofacial trauma and pediatric reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Hollier has performed volunteer surgical missions throughout the world including Haiti, Central America, Asia, and Africa. He is a member of Doctors Without Borders and is a member of the board of Smile Train. With this experience, he has developed a broad perspective on how patients with facial injuries are treated, and, most importantly, on what seems to work and what does not.
