Dr. Feza H. Remzi is the Chairman of the Department of Colorectal Surgery and the Ed & Joey Story Chair in Colorectal Surgery, at the Digestive Disease Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Feza was born in Ankara, Turkey, received his undergraduate degree at Ankara College and his medical degree from the Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara. He completed his General Surgery residency followed by additional training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He then joined the staff at the Cleveland Clinic. After serving in increasing positions of responsibility, he became Chairman of the Department of Colorectal Surgery in December 2008. He is Board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery.

The Colorectal Department at the Cleveland Clinic has one of the world's highest levels of experience with ulcerative colitis. Feza, as Chairman, is an active clinician with ulcerative colitis diagnosis and treatment forming a major component of his practice. In addition to his clinical and administrative activities, Feza is an active researcher. He has multiple ongoing basic science and clinical projects.

Feza has leadership positions in several surgical societies, including the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. His contributions to the medical literature include more than 165 peer-reviewed articles; he is also a reviewer for a number of medical journals. He has made multiple presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. In addition, he educates students, residents, and fellows on a daily basis.

Feza, his wife Berna (a Dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic), and his son Merit live in Cleveland. When not working, Feza enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
