Summary

Fascias originate from the mesoderm and have the same functions as the connective tissue. These are based on reactions to information from outside. If forces act on these tissues, specific basic phenomena can be described on a macroscopic level in the extracellular matrix and at the cell membranes. They explain how osteopathic techniques can be effective as mechanical forces, and why osteopathy is considered as biological medicine.
