Periduralanästhesie – die wichtigsten Fakten für die Beratung der Gebärenden

Anästhesie bedeutet Freiheit von Schmerz und Missempfindungen. Doch auch wenn ­Wehenschmerzen manchmal überwältigend sein können, ist Empfindungslosigkeit ­ge­rade während der Geburt selten gewünscht. Die Entscheidung für eine Peridural­anästhesie bleibt deshalb eine ­Gratwanderung zwischen einer effektiven, sicheren Schmerzlinderung und einem unerwünschten medizinischen Eingriff.
