Zusammenfassung

Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die Vorteile des kieferorthopädischen Lückenschlusses vorgestellt und durch neuere Informationen zum optimalen Finishing von Fällen ergänzt, bei denen Eckzähne seitliche Schneidezähne ersetzen. Des Weiteren wird auf Faktoren eingegangen, die Auswirkungen auf Indikation und Kontraindikation haben.

Abstract

The present article will discuss the advantages for the space closure alternative, as well as provide some new information about optimal finishing in canine substitution cases. Factors of crucial importance for indications and contraindications will be evaluated.
