Der Leser soll nach dem Durcharbeiten des Artikels

  • die Indikation hinsichtlich des Mindestknochenangebots vor Implantation stellen können,

  • die Relevanz der biologischen Knochenheilungsvorgänge für den klinischen Erfolg von Augmentationen sowie die Phasen der Knochenheilung verstehen,

  • die Vorteile und Limitationen des autologen Augmentats kennen,

  • über die aktuell klinisch verfügbaren Modalitäten synthetischer Knochenersatzmaterialien Bescheid wissen und

  • die Möglichkeiten und insbesondere die Limitierung der Verwendung synthetischer Knochenersatzmaterialien überblicken.
