Zusammenfassung

Diabetes mellitus ist im Ayurveda keine eigenständige Krankheit, sondern wird zum klassischen ayurvedischen Krankheitsbild Prameha gezählt.

Die Behandlungsstrategie für Diabetes mellitus beruht auf den Grundpfeilern Ernährung, Aktivität, Reinigung. Die ayurvedische Behandlung kann gute Erfolge als ergänzende Therapiemaßnahme zur schulmedizinischen Therapie bringen.

Abstract

In Ayurveda, diabetes mellitus is not an independent disease, but is rather regarded to be part of the ayurvedic clinical picture Prameha.

The treatment strategy for diabetes mellitus is based on the keystones food, activity, and cleaning. The ayurvedic treatment can be successful as a complementary therapy measure to the therapies of traditional medicine.
