ESGE Live Endoscopy Workshop

Cluj-Napoca, Romania October 2009

ESGE, ESGENA and the Romanian Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (SRED) joined forces to organize the ESGE Live Endoscopy Workshop in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, October 15 – 16, 2009 with Cristian Gheorghe acting as ESGE Co-Director, Oliviu Pascu as Director and Sylvia Lahey as ESGENA Co-Director.

At this successful meeting more than 250 physicians and nurses from 7 countries participated, watching the 23 live demonstrations and attending the 6 state-of-the art lectures for physicians and the 5 lectures for nurses.

International experts performed live procedures taking the opportunity to present novel methods, intruments, and tricks. These live demonstrations were transmitted in HDTV quality from the Endoscopy Unit to the Auditorium. Olympus Co. generously sponsored the workshop.
