Sind die jüngsten Angriffe der Medien auf die Homöopathie gerechtfertigt? Eine Streitschrift[1]

Zusammenfassung

Die Homöopathie wird zurzeit vor allem von den britischen Medien stark attackiert. Diese Angriffe erhalten letztlich Unterstützung durch unverantwortliche und unbewiesene homöopathische Behauptungen, die von so manchem Lehrenden der Homöopathie vertreten werden.

Zu ihren Kernaussagen gehören die Verwertung von Träumen und Imaginationen in Arzneimittelprüfungen. Manche dieser Lehrer versuchen, bei ihren Verordnungen die mühevolle Arbeit, das Symptombild und das Arzneimittelbild in Übereinstimmung zu bringen, mit seltsamen Theorien zu umgehen, die auf „Signaturen”, Empfindungen und weiteren Methoden gründen. Dabei werden stets neue unverantwortliche Aussagen in die Welt gesetzt. Diese „neuen Ideen” bergen das Risiko in sich, die Prinzipien, die Theorie und die Praxis der Homöopathie zu zerstören.

Summary

Homeopathy is being attacked by the British media. These attacks draw support from irresponsible and unjustified claims by certain teachers of homeopathy. Such claims include the use of „dream” and „imaginative” methods for provings. For prescribing some such teachers attempt to replace the laborious process of matching symptom picture and remedy with spurious theories based on „signatures”, sensations and other methods. Other irresponsible claims have also been made. These „new ideas” risk destroying the principles, theory, and practice of homeopathy.
