Zusammenfassung

Die von uns meist verwendete Dacronprothese hat eine glatte Oberfläche und ist elastisch in der Längsrichtung. Die Resultate nach mehr als einem Jahr p.o. entsprechen denen, die mit Homotransplantaten, Venen oder anderen Prothesen erreicht wurden. Ein Mißerfolg wurde durch das Transplantat selbst nicht hervorgerufen. Langdauernde Antikoagulantienbehandlung unter strenger Kontrolle bedeutet eine wertvolle Unterstützung. Bei der Indikation sind geriatrische Probleme zu beachten.

Summary

Dacron transplants were employed to replace or by-pass major arteries in 39 limbs (34 patients). After one year, four-fifths of the transplants were still patent with good functional results. Four of 34 patients died of the operation: transplants in the femoral-popliteal area were performed without death. In no instance was the transplant thought to have been responsible for lack of functional success. Long-term anticoagulant therapy proved of great additional value. The indications for surgical intervention in peripheral vascular disease are discussed, especially in relation to the age of the patient.

Substitución vascular en trastornos orgánicos del riego periférico

La prótesis de Dacron, empleada por nosotros las más de las veces, tiene una superficie lisa y es elástica en dirección longitudinal. Los resultados, comprobados tras más de un año después de la operación, corresponden a los conseguidos con homotransplantaciones, venas u otras prótesis. El injerto mismo no ha provocado ningún fracaso. Un tratamiento de anticoagulantes de larga duración y, con un control severo, significa una ayuda valiosa. Para la indicación hay que atender a problemas geriátricos.
