Abstract

Antirrhinum majus has been found to contain four tertiary alkaloids, one of which has been identified as 4–methyl–2,6–naphthyridine. This is a new plant constituent. A water–soluble base has been identified as choline; no other water–soluble bases were found present.

Zusammenfassung

Antirrhinum majus enthält 4 tertiäre Alkaloide, von denen eins als 4–Methyl–2,6–naphthyridin identifiziert wurde. Diese Verbindung ist erstmalig in Pflanzen nachgewiesen. An wasserlöslichen Basen wurde nur Cholin gefunden.
