Abstract

Oral administration of pelirine to mice causes CNS depression. The alkaloid produces significant hypotension in anaesthetized cats after intravenous injection in small doses. However, in all cases, the effective doses are close to the lethal doses.

Zusammenfassung

Orale Gaben von Pelirin an Mäuse bewirkt eine CNS–Depression, intravenöse Injektion von kleinen Dosen hat bei Katzen eine signifikante hypotensive Wirkung. Jedoch liegt die wirksame Dosis der lethalen sehr nahe.
