Fertilitätserhalt vor Chemotherapie – was ist heute möglich?

Kinderwunsch bei onkologischen Patientinnen

Der Fertilitätserhalt bei onkologischen Patientinnen unter 40 Jahren spielt eine zunehmend wichtige Rolle in der Reproduktionsmedizin. Die Arbeit von Partridge in einer Gruppe von jungen Mammakarzinom-Patientinnen hat gezeigt, dass 75 % der Frauen große Ängste bezüglich ihrer Fruchtbarkeit nach Chemotherapie haben [1].

Durch die Fortschritte der onkologischen Therapie werden gerade junge Patientinnen geheilt, und nach Abschluss der onkologischen Therapie ist die Erfüllung eines Kinderwunsches ein wesentliches Kriterium der Lebensqualität.
