Summary
By intravital examination of the liver surface with a magnifying optical system one succeeds in getting additional morphological and pathophysiological information which may help to solve some diagnostic problems in correlation to the histological findings. A variety of surface abnormalities are shown especially the structure of the lymphatic vessels, veins and arteries in normal and diseased liver.
