IDENTIFICATION OF WAXES FROM THE LEAVES OF KALANCHOE PINNATA

Abstract

Wax-hydrocarbons (C ₂₅ –C ₃₅ ), wax-alkohols (even n– and iso–C ₂₆ –C ₃₆ ) and fatty acids (even C ₁₆–C ₂₈ ) including unsaturated in traces, have been isolated by column chromatography on alumina and identified through IR and GLC studies.
