Abstract

As p-nitroso-dimethyl-aniline exerts a specificity towards anthrone derivatives this reagent is used for quantitative determination of these compounds in plant materials containing anthracene derivatives.

The method described in this article enables determination of anthrones and anthroneglycosides in a single procedure.
