Abstract
From the leaves of Cassia siamea besides β–sitosterol, Cassiamin A, Phys–cion, Chrysophanol, p–coumaric acid and apigenin–7–O–galactoside (Thalictiin), a new chromone could be isolated and its structure elucidated as 2–methyl–5–acetonyl–7–hydroxy–chromone.
