Abstract

From seeds and seedlings of Cucurbita maxima var. True Hubbard several 24α– and 24β–alkyl–Δ7–sterols were isolated. Δ5–sterols were not found. As sole pentacyclic triterpenes both α– and β–amyrin were present in this plant.
