Abstract

From the seeds of Cassia renigera three anthraquinone pigments, 1,8–dihydroxy–3,5,7–trimethoxy 2–methyl anthraquinone, 1,5,8–trihydroxy 6,7–dimethoxy–2–methyl anthraquinone–3–O–α–l(–) rhamnopyranoside and 1–hydroxy–8–methoxy–2–methyl anthraquinone–3–O–α–l–(–)rhamnopyranoside have been isolated and studied.
