Abstract

Isolation of aristolochic acid I and of a small amount of aristolochic acid D, 2 from Aristolochia acuminata Lamarck and from Aristolochia multiflora DUCHARTRE.

The cytotoxicity of aristolochic acid on animal tumoral cells is found again in vitro on vegetal cells, the tumoral cells of Crown–gall being the most sensitive to the action of the acid.
