Abstract

Leaves of Nauclea latifolia yield 0,08 % of alkaloids, some of them are naufoline and angustine already found in the root bark of this plant. The structure of the new product naulafine is proved by spectroscopical evidences. Two glyco–alkaloids 3α–dihydrocadambine and cadambine are also present.
