Abstract

Among 5000 diabetic subjects, 22 patients were found to have clinical signs of neuropathy in the upper limbs. In 44 patients the sensory nerve conduction was studied in the upper limbs. Subclinical evidence of neuropathy was often discovered. Discrepancies between frequency of clinical and subclinical neuropathy are discussed.
