Abstract

A new method - based on radioimmunoelectrophoresis - for the determination of insulin binding to IgG is described in detail. Various physical and chemical factors influencing the binding of insulin in vitro have been studied. The method, which also enables determination of the maximum insulin-binding capacity, is considered to be specific and simple. The sensitivity and reproducibility of the method are adequate both for research and routine work.
