Abstract
Plasma post-heparin lipolytic activity (PHLA) was reduced by 50% in functionally hepatectomised compared with sham-operated rats.
Inhibition of PHLA by protamine sulphate was significantly increased in functionally hepatectomised compared with sham-operated rats.
Hepatic triglyceride lipase contributes significantly to total plasma PHLA. Its function is not yet clear.
