Abstract
The case is presented of a five-year old girl with a clinical chart of a severe psychomotor
retardation and important microcephaly with no history of perinatal anoxia. The pneumoencephalographic
exploration shows agenesis of the inferior portion of the cerebellum. The angiography
of all intracraneal vessels evidence the persistence of the hypoglossal artery originating
in the left carotid with absence of the PICA in both sides.
Resumen
Se presenta una niña de cinco años con un cuadro clínico de retraso psicomotor y microcefalia
importante sin antecedentes anóxicos perinatales. La neumoencefalografia muestra agenesia
de la porción inferior del cerebelo. La angiografia de todos los vasos intracraneales
evidencia la persistencia de la arteria hipoglosa izquierda que tiene su origen en
la carótida izquierda y ausencia de la PICA en ambos lados.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird die Krankheitsgeschichte eines 5jährigen Mädchens beschrieben mit schwerer
psychomotorischer Retardation und Mikrozephalie ohne Anhaltspunkte für eine perinatale
Anoxie. Das Pneumenzephalogramm zeigt eine Agenesie der inferioren Anteile des Zerebellums.
Die Angiographie aller intrakraniellen Arterien ergab eine Persistenz der Arteria
hypoglossi, welche von der linken Karotis ausging. Die posterioren rami communicantes
fehlten.
