Remarks on the Trigeminal Rhizotomy by the Subtemporal Trans-tentorial Route

Technical aspects and results of the trigeminal rhizotomy by the subtemporal trans-tentorial route are discussed. Preservation of the accessory fibers gives a hypalgesia-thermal hypaesthesia, with persistence of touch perception and corneal reflex. Advantages of the antero-lateral approach are stressed.

Beitrag zu der Trigeminus-Rhizotomie von dem subtemporalen transtentoriellen Zugang aus.

Technische Eigenschaften und Ergebnisse der Durchschneidung der Trigeminuswurzel mittels des subtemporalen transtentoriellen Zuganges, werden besprochen. Die Schonung der fibrae accessoriae ergibt in der Regel eine Hypalgesie-Thermhypästhesie mit Erhaltung der taktilen Sensibilität und des Kornealreflexes. Die Vorteile des antero-lateralen Zuganges werden betont.

Les aspects techniques et les résultats de la radicotomie trigéminale par voie sous-temporale trans-tentorielle sont discutés La préservation des fibres accessoires donne, en général, une hypoesthésie thermique avec conservation de la sensibilité tactile et du réflexe cornéen. Les avantages de la voie antéro-latérale sont soulignés.
