Summary

A 35 year old woman, the native inhabitant of the Minsk region, had displayed two attacks of subarachnoid haemorrhage without focal signs and subsequent progress of the disease. Serial angiography disclosed all typical components of “moyamoya.” Special attention was drawn to the fact that in spite of the profound anatomical derangements of the cerebral arterial system the brain circulation was in a perfect condition, and signs of brain atrophy PEG were also entirely absent. A specific arterial pattern in the occipital and temporal region was brought to the attention as a relatively new finding. Some hereditary factor rather than intrauterine pathological process is probable for the case described.
