TCM collaborative R&D of Traditional Chinese Medicine Program for international cooperation in science and technology – Herbalome Project

TCM material is so important that we only have two options: the first is the „piecemeal“. Everyone studies „individually“ his „preferred and important“ herbs. Is there another choice? It is unprecedented „entirety“. We concentrate all our efforts to clarify the whole TCM material basis. That is Herbalome.

The aim of Herbalome project is to clarify the composition and function of TCMs, establish a resource library, and interpret the mechanism of regulation of multi-components on multiple targets. The Herbalome project focuses on development of new methodologies, including high-throughput and high-performance technology, to detail the composition of TCMs. The Herbalome project constructs a modern TCM resource library comprising materials, information and knowledge. Based on a resource library, the Herbalome project puts the emphasis on high-content screening and systematic biology to study TCM function.
