Conducting Patient-Oriented Research in Colorectal Surgery: How and Why It Is Relevant?
Authors
Abstract
Patient-oriented research is necessary to ensure that outcomes that matter most to patients remain at the forefront of clinical practice. In this article, we review the role of qualitative research in patient-oriented research, how to measure quality of shared decision-making, and opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to support shared decision-making.
