Zusammenfassung
Jungen mit Klinefelter-Syndrom (KS) zeigen trotz durchschnittlicher Intelligenz häufig spezifische schulische Schwierigkeiten, insbesondere im sprachlichen, kognitiven und sozialen Bereich. Der folgende Beitrag beleuchtet die psychologischen Aspekte des KS im schulischen Kontext und beschreibt häufige Herausforderungen sowie mögliche Unterstützungsmaßnahmen. Ein Fallbeispiel veranschaulicht typische Problemfelder. Ziel ist es, pädiatrisch tätige Fachpersonen für das vielfältige Erscheinungsbild des KS zu sensibilisieren und Empfehlungen für die schulische Förderung zu geben.
Abstract
Despite average intelligence, boys with Klinefelter syndrome (KS) often face specific educational challenges, particularly in language, executive functioning and social development. This article outlines the psychological aspects of KS in school settings, highlights common difficulties, and provides support strategies. A case study illustrates typical areas of concern. The aim is to raise awareness among pediatric practitioners about the broad clinical presentation of KS and offer guidance for educational support.
