Kommentar zu: INTERVENTION – Transarterielle Embolisation bei Blutungen im unteren Gastrointestinaltrakt

Der Artikel von Hosse et al. untersucht die transarterielle Embolisation (TAE) als Notfalltherapie bei akuten unteren gastrointestinalen Blutungen (LGIB). In der retrospektiven Studie wurden 141 Patienten über 13 Jahre in 5 deutschen Universitätskliniken analysiert. Die technische Erfolgsrate betrug 100%, die klinische 93,8%, was auf eine hohe Effektivität hinweist.
