Mit der höchsten Sensitivität für invasive Karzinome und DCIS liefert die Mamma-MRT
beim lokalen prätherapeutischen Staging über die Mammografie und die Mammasonografie
hinaus Informationen zur exakten Tumorausdehnung, Multifokalität, Multizentrizität
und zu potenziellen Befunden in der kontralateralen Brust. Repräsentative Befundkonstellationen
werden in diesem Beitrag illustriert.
Abstract
Compared to all other examination methods, breast MRI has the highest sensitivity
for the detection of invasive carcinomas, but also for DCIS. In the context of local
pre-therapeutic staging, MRI is superior to mammography, tomosynthesis and breast
ultrasound according to exact extent of the tumor, EIC, multifocality, multicentricity,
and potential findings in the contralateral breast. The use of high-quality MR protocols,
and the option of performing MR-guided interventions are, however, important to achieve
excellent results. Representative constellations of findings are discussed and illustrated
in this article.
