Werden Hunde und Katzen mit einer kardialen Erkrankung zur Allgemeinanästhesie vorgestellt, können sie eine Herausforderung darstellen: Das Wissen um die Pathophysiologie der Erkrankungen, relevante Wechselwirkungen und Einflüsse von Herzmedikamenten sowie den Einfluss der Anästhesie auf die kardiale Situation ist essenziell, um diese Patienten im perioperativen Zeitraum optimal zu betreuen.
