The Münster Concept for the Therapy of Ectodermal Dysplasia in the Context of the Scientific Literature
Abstract
The genetic causes and clinical manifestations of ectodermal dysplasias (ED) are very heterogeneous. In dentistry, there is no consensus regarding the ideal timing of oral rehabilitation. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the literature on ED and describes the interdisciplinary Münster concept for the therapy of ED from the perspective of orthodontics, prosthodontics and implantology.
