Einleitung

Nebenmilzen finden sich in großen Sektionsstatistiken in 10–15 % der Fälle. Dabei ist das ektope Milzgewebe aufgrund seiner Embryogenese in 80 % der Fälle im Bereich des Milzhilus und nur in 1–2 % im Pankreasschwanz lokalisiert [Meyer T et al. „Intrapankreatische Nebenmilz als Differenzialdiagnose des Pankreasschwanzkarzinomes.“ Zentralblatt für Chirurgie 132.01 (2007): 73–76]. Weitere mögliche Lokalisationen für eine Nebenmilz sind das Ligamentum gastrosplenicum, das Ligamentum splenorenale und das Omentum majus.
