Orthetik bei rheumatologischen Erkrankungen

Zusammenfassung

Die Versorgung von Patienten mit körpernahen Hilfsmitteln wie Orthesen, Bandagen oder Tapes stellt einen wichtigen Pfeiler der konservativen Maßnahmen der Versorgung von rheumatologischen Erkrankungen dar. Ziel ist es dabei stets schmerzauslösende Belastungen zu reduzieren sowie durch Destruktion instabile Gelenke zu stabilisieren um somit die Funktionsfähigkeit im Alltag so gut es geht aufrecht zu erhalten. Die Teilhabe an täglichen Arbeiten kann dadurch oftmals verbessert werden, was sich konsekutiv auf die Lebensqualität auswirkt. In diesem Beitrag soll die Systematik von verordnungsfähigen Orthesen erklärt werden und anschließend darauf aufbauend für wichtige, oftmals betroffene Gelenke Stabilisationsmöglichkeiten aufgezeigt werden. Die Evidenz und die Verordnungsweise werden dabei wenn möglich aufgezeigt.

Abstract

The treatment of patients with physical aids such as braces, splints, bandages or tapes is an important pillar of conservative treatment methods for rheumatological diseases. The aim is always defined as reducing pain and stabilising unstable damaged joints in order to maintain function in everyday life as well as possible. Participation in daily activities can often be improved, which effects the quality of life. In this article, the systematics of prescribable braces will be explained, followed by examples of the stabilisation of important and frequently affected joints. The evidence and the prescription method will be shown if possible.
