Introduction

A number of publications describe coagulopathy as a sequela of infection with the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), also known as COVID-19 [1]. Although the exact nature of the relationship between severe SARS-CoV-2 infection and thromboembolic disease is yet to be fully clarified [2] the importance of CT-angiography [3] and SPECT/CT to exclude pulmonary embolus (PE) are increasingly recognised [4].
